Juvenile Correctional Center (JCC) / Direct Care
Youth Industries
As a result of legislation enacted in 1993 (Code of Virginia §66-25.1), the Department of Juvenile Justice, in conjunction with the Department of Correctional Education, developed the Youth Industries Program to train older, incarcerated youth who follow program requirements and who do not have behavior issues. The program provides skill training in areas in which the learned skills can be transitioned into employment opportunities in the community.
